It was a Wednesday night at Arthur's Pub where Halimah (Lee Lee as she was known back then) was bartending. She was cleaning up from a Band night and winding down to close for the night. In walks Jack Jones (Wayne). Two double shots of Remy VSOP was his order. She knew who he was, he didn't recognize her. His aunt and cousins lived on the street where she grew up. Beverly Rd.

That night in the bar a conversation sparked about the connection between their families. Jack was seeing someone at the time so they settled on a casual friendship for the next 10 years.

For years, Jack and Halimah played a friendly game of cat and mouse. Eventually a romantic relationship found its way to the couple. After "officially" dating for a short period of time, the couple moved in together, families in tow.

On Christmas Eve 2013, Wayne proposed to Halimah. Following a reasonably long engagement, a house and two kids later, a date was set.

Halimah and Wayne, along with their amazing children: Wayne Jr., Kayla, Charon, Chayna, Donell, and Nasir, are excited to celebrate the union of their beautiful families.

Halimah is the baby daughter of Duane and Helen Madyun and little sister to Felice and Clara Woodard. Wayne is the son of Wayne Gillis Jones and the late Celestine Chaney and the older brother to Alexis Jones.
